The gym

The gym

A proper barbell club, not a fitness chain.

Ironworks is a strength gym in The Liberties, Dublin 8. Dark, heavy and honest. No mirrors full of machines, no glossy fitness floor. Just iron, platforms and people who like to lift.

The floor

400 square metres of real iron

We built the gym around the barbell. Competition platforms and calibrated plates for the powerlifters. Bumper plates and dedicated platforms for the olympic lifters. A strongman yard with stones, yokes and a farmers walk.

It is a working floor. Chalk is allowed, deadlifts are encouraged, and you can drop the bar. Everyone here trains, so there is always someone to spot you or talk through a lift.
